Livelihood Projects

A big part of our vision is to break the cycle of poverty, and one way we do that is through livelihood projects that help create jobs and micro-business opportunities. In the past our projects have included making peanut butter and other snacks, but what we currently are working on is a fair-trade sewing program in partnership with Lil' Soak, a fair trade label in the United States. In this program mothers of children in our feeding program will hopefully be able to earn good wages sewing high-quality handmade crafts, such as the nursing covers that are already for sale at lilsoak.com
